Scott Campbell Nominated for Wichita 2010 Professional Athlete of the Year
 

 
 
WICHITA, KA. - Scott Cambell was nominated for the Wichita 2010 Professional Athlete of the Year award by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission.  The 2009-2010 season was Scott's first professional season with the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League. Congratulations to Scott his outstanding nomination!

The Hockey Group at The Hockey Expo
 
The Hockey Group had a booth set up at The Hockey Expo in Toronto this past weekend (April 23-25). Gerry McKeown and Art Fedrow can be seen above manning the booth. The Hockey Group had a very successful weekend with many new friends and contacts being made.

Laredo's Darryl Smith Named CHL Rookie of the Year

Kevin Harris, Knoxville Ice Bears, Defense, Height 5.11—Weight 210
Harris with a five year professional career anchored the Knoxville defense completing his second year with the Ice Bears. He was a vital part of the Ice Bears second straight capture of the regular season championship, the Coffee Trophy. Harris from Altona Manitoba contributed 36 points from the point including eight goals and a positive plus/minus rating of  +16 playing in 57 regular season matches.

Cornwall Superior Thunder Major Midget wins Provincial Championship, sweeping Charlottetown Marks Work Wearhouse 4 games to none. Leading the way for the Thunder were Jordan Costello (91, LW) Jason Smallman (91,LW) and Zack Evans-Renaud (92,LD) all tied with 6 points. Costello(5’11 180) 4 Goals/ 2 Assists/6 pims , Smallman(6’1 205) 1 Goal/5 assists/ 16 pims, and Evans-Renaud(5’10 175) 2 Goals/ 4 assists/4 pims.
